In December 2020, CHI opened its own shop called ‘Venture’ on Bargates in Christchurch. Venture is situated at the front of our new base and sells a range of items made by local makers, creatives and local education based enterprise projects. The shop offers our students an opportunity to learn about high street retail and the day to day requirements of running a small outlet and understanding the different opportunities that creative enterprise and self-employment can offer.

Learning the process of a transaction and managing a till system.

Using eye catching display and social media to feature and promote the shop.

Looking at product development and the processes in creating good quality work to sell.
